You might be all excited about IO Interactive because of Project 007 right now, but don't forget the developer has the finale to its excellent Hitman franchise releasing in just a month's time. Available on both PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 from 20th January 2021, Hitman 3 has debuted another gameplay trailer that tours the sort of locations you'll visit across its campaign. That includes an ancient property in England and the high-rise buildings of Dubai. It has also been confirmed that a PS4 version will be packaged in with all PS5 purchases, meaning those wanting to utilise PlayStation VR won't have to fork out any extra cash.
Footage details how Agent 47 can blend in with the crowd through disguises as well the large arsenal of weapons you can find in the environment to eliminate enemies. You know, the usual Hitman stuff. We believe there may be one or two more locations left to be revealed for Hitman 3, so IO Interactive still has a couple of surprises up its sleeve.
The PlayStation Blog then expands on how Hitman 3 will take advantage of the DualSense controller's adaptive triggers and haptic feedback. "One specific (and really cool!) example of our adaptive trigger support is how you activate the Focus effect that slows down the world around you with a sniper rifle. When you gently squeeze the R2 button, your finger will reach a tension point that will resist your pressure, and you’ll need to hold your finger against that tension point to activate the focus. When you’re ready to fire, push past that tension point and you’ll feel the “click” of the trigger as you fire the weapon. Boom. Headshot."
What other places are you hoping will make it into the game? Speculate away in the comments below.

Phwoar. No real surprises in this trailer, but it's all looking and sounding good!
Already pre-ordered. I'm really looking forward to this game.
It's something special to replay the hitman levels and just go crazy with one kill more spectacular than the next
I’m especially looking forward to the English country estate. It should be like Cluedo!
@nessisonett Yeah, that level looks especially fun.
Including PS4 copies with the PS5 is a great move. Hopefully they include cross save so we can pick and choose if we want to play in VR or with better graphics.
Wasn’t a fan of the last Hitman due to it not being fully released from the start.. I’m hoping this is the ‘whole’ game and not similar to that.. Hitman 1 & 2 stole so many hours of my life.. would love a traditional PS2-esque experience.. here’s hoping
@WolfyTn Hitman 2 was already a complete game at launch. This will be the same.
@WolfyTn I actually preferred the episodic release of the first game. It meant I explored each level loads as they released and got all I could out of them before the next level came out. The second one is great but it did feel like a bit of a content overload in comparison.
I can’t wait for this. I just wish the VR mode was a full PS5 version.
My fav mission is probably the New York Bank mission (Hitman 2 DLC)
I prefer that dense contained playground vs the more open levels.
Im probably looking forward to experiencing the game in VR more than the actual new levels in Hitman 3.
never got into these... this one looks great though!
well done.
Looking guid. As far as I gather if you have copies of the previous 2 games all missions from those will be attached to this tarted up with bells and whistles (much like they did with the first one going into Part II).
@Peach64 Got to agree, brilliant move and giving players that choice. I still can't fathom why Sony haven't introduced an upgrade to PSVR for the PS5 yet as the way it stands going forward (for now) only PS4 games are compatible. A new version MUST be coming soon, next year maybe when it hits 5 years old?
*Oh and I'd love to see Hitman in my beloved Scotland! I had a major patriotic geekgasm when Uncharted 4 had a level set in Scotland - it looked beautiful too (as our bonny lands are!)
@nessisonett
I kinda felt the same. With Hitman 2 I kinda just did most missions suit only silent assassin and moved on.
The 2016 hitman I properly explored every level searching for every opportunity (and raising everything to level 20)
I think its because the progress didnt carry over to Hitman 2 (when downloading the legacy levels.) being the reason why I didnt put enough time into Hitman 2.......although the said it will carry to hitman 3 this time round........little too late as I moved onto other games.
Hitman 3 will be the game for me to fully explore past and present levels (not need to worry about stuff not carrying over to the next game.....its a trilogy right lol)
Dual silver ballers, please, come on guys Hitman 2 had the suitcase... now we need this!
@Profondo Agreed, the highlands in Uncharted 4 were amazing looking and pretty true to life. Really hope Rockstar make the Grand Ned Auto we all deserve 😂😂
Very excited for this. And glad it's doing the Hitman 2 approach of releasing the complete game instead of the episodic approach of Hitman 1.
"The world of assassination is on the brink" - has to be an all time great for a trailer's opening line. Completely ridiculous. I love it.
HYPE! I look forward to playing when it's much cheaper in a few years. I still need to play thru the older games fully, plus the recent ones.
